  2. Eligibility & Entry Instructions

    • Entrants must be kindergarten, first, second, third or fourth grade teachers on behalf of their classroom
    • To be eligible, the school must be in the United States, an entrant (teacher) must be a legal resident of the fifty (50) United States and D.C. (excluding Puerto Rico, USVI and American Samoa).  Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify ineligible entries; such entries will not be returned.
    • Only one entry per classroom will be accepted; all subsequent entries will be disqualified.
    • Stories can be fact or fiction and must use the theme in the story.
    • Any failure to adhere to these Contest Rules may result in disqualification from the contest.
    • Children of employees of, or their affiliates, and judges are not eligible.
  3. HOW TO ENTER:Email the story to MrsPstorytime @ with the teacher name, grade, school name and address and a contact phone. Please state in the email that you have read the rules. If there is a twitter account for the teacher or school please include that. Please let us know if it is a collaborative class project or a story your class voted on as their favorite done by a student to enter. Remember just one entry per classroom. It is the classroom entering, not an individual student. The classroom will be recognized as the winner. For example "Mrs. P's 3rd Grade Class from Dreamy Valley" Everyone is the class that wins is winning books and prizes for their school.
  4. PRIZES:
    GRAND PRIZE: One grand prize will be awarded to the winning classroom. They shall have their winning story made into a video with illustrations to premiere on Mrs. P's YouTube channel.  They will also receive (1) $500 gift certificate for purchases on, (1) Classroom License from Tales2GO. The Classroom License allows 1 classroom in a school to be set up with 5 school device licenses (for shared devices in the classroom), and additionally they set up each student and teacher in the classroom with their own personal ID and password so they can go home and activate a device or computer that they or their parents own to Tales2GO. The Grand Prize winner also receives one Buncee Classroom Plus subscription and a Flipgrid Swag bag. 2nd and 3rd place winners will receive Buncee Classroom Lite subscriptions. Flipgird Swag Bags will be awarded to 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th places. Books from various authors and publishing companies will also be awarded to the top 5 place winners.
    RUNNERS UP:  Sponsor shall award up to (10) other classrooms with gift certificates to and also other books may be included to additional classrooms who are named to Mrs. P's honor roll.
    All prizes will be awarded, provided a sufficient number of eligible Entries are received. Prizes are also subject to be replaced at the discretion of Mrs. P if a sponsor fails to produce the promised item.
  5. PRIZE ACCEPTANCE: Sponsor shall use reasonable best efforts to notify the winners.  In the event that a winner cannot be located or contacted within five (5) days, winner shall forfeit the prize and Sponsor may elect to either choose another winner or withhold the prize.
  6. RIGHTS ASSOCIATED WITH CONTEST:  Submission of the Entry constitutes permission for to use the participants’ (classroom) name, likeness, biographical information, information and materials contained in the Entry Form, photographs, and any statements or remarks made about the Contest in advertising and promotion without further compensation or permission, except where prohibited by law. All entries, and any copyrights therein, become the sole property of By entering, entrants agree to abide by the above stated rules, and warrant that their entry is an original work and does not infringe upon or violate rights of any third party, and grant to the right to edit, publish, promote, and otherwise use their entry materials without permission, notice or compensation. No royalties will be paid at this or any time. By submitting an entry, each participant (teacher) assigns all right, title, and interest in and to the entry to and warrants that the participant (teacher on behalf of the classroom) have the authority to assign such right, title, and interest. In the event that any applicable law requires certain formalities to be fulfilled to effectuate such grant of rights, each participant (teacher on behalf of the classroom) agrees to cooperate with to achieve fulfillment of such formalities.
  7. GENERAL: Contest administration and verification will be supervised by Sponsor.  Sponsor’s decisions are final and binding.  By participating in this Contest, Contestant agrees that the Entry shall be judged per these Official Rules, and Contestant hereby binds himself/herself to these Official Rules, the MrsP Enterprises, LLC privacy policy and the decisions of the judges and Sponsor. By entering this Contest, Contestant explicitly releases, discharges and holds harmless the Contest Entities (as defined below) and their shareholders, successors and assigns, one and all, from any and all liability, actions, causes of action, damages, actual, incidental or consequential, claims and demands whatsoever in law or equity, including all "costs," which he/she now has or may acquire, by reason of any personal injury, death, loss of or damage to property, or any reason, occurring during or arising out of his/her participation in the Contest.  The Contest Entities and their respective officers, directors, employees, affiliates, related entities, partners, partnerships, principals, representatives, agents, licensees, successors and assigns (i) make no warranty, guarantee or representation of any kind concerning the prizes; and (ii) disclaim any implied warranty. The right to receive any prize is non-assignable and non-transferable and no prize substitution, extension, transfer, exchange or cash equivalent will be allowed. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. 
  8. MISCELLANEOUS.  If any provision of this Contest shall be deemed to violate any federal, state or municipal law, it shall be amended to conform to such law only to the extent necessary to conform to such law, and all other provisions shall remain in full force and effect.  Sponsor, and all production and hosting agencies shall not be responsible for technical, pictorial, typographical or editorial errors or omissions in any marketing materials or these Official Rules. This Contest is conducted in American English.
  9. DISPUTE RESOLUTION / CHOICE OF LAW / REMEDIES. Except where prohibited by law, by participating in this Contest, Contestant agrees that: All issues and questions concerning the Contest and these Official Rules shall be governed by California law without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of law of any jurisdiction. Contestant agrees that any action at law or in equity arising out of or relating to this Contest shall be filed only in the state or federal courts located in California and Contestant hereby consents and submits to the personal jurisdiction of such courts for the purposes of litigating any such action. Except where prohibited by law, by participating in this Contest, Contestant agrees that: (a) any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Contest shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action; and (b) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with participating in this Contest but in no event attorneys' fees; and (c) under no circumstances will any Contestant be permitted to obtain awards for and hereby waives all rights to claim punitive, incidental and consequential damages and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased.  Contestant shall not be entitled to recover any consequential, incidental or punitive damages, and in no event attorneys' fees or "costs." Some jurisdictions do not allow the limitation or exclusion of liability for incidental or consequential damages, so the above may not apply to you.  Contestant waives any right to seek to obtain equitable relief in any manner and that Contestant’s sole remedy against Sponsor shall be limited to monetary damages at law, if any.
